Women Veterans to Be Honored at “Driving Freedom” Fundraiser Celebrating America’s 250th Anniversary

The Women Who Served Alliance will host “Driving Freedom: An Evening Honoring Women Who Served,” a special community fundraising event celebrating the courage, leadership, and sacrifice of women veterans.

Held in recognition of the 250th anniversary of the United States and the Army, the evening will honor eight female veterans while bringing together veteran organizations, military families, community leaders, and supporters from across Northeast Florida.

The fundraiser will feature a patriotic ceremony, special guest speakers, military tributes, and a unique “Driving Freedom” Mercedes-Benz test drive experience. raffles, vendors, food trucks, and more. Proceeds from the evening will support the mission of the Women Who Served Alliance and its ongoing efforts to recognize, empower, and support female veterans.

Dr. Diana Jordan Baldwin, co-founder of Women Who Served Alliance and event co-chair will lead the guest speakers. Currently, she is running for the Florida House of Representatives District 18. In addition, event attendees can expect speakers from the Florida National Guard, office of Veterans Affairs, Gold Star families and military survivors, K9s for Warriors, and various other community leaders, sponsors, and supporters.

The event will feature a patriotic flag-raising ceremony, followed directly by a performance of the national anthem. Afterwards, a recognition ceremony will be held to honor female veterans. Expect tributes from various military affiliated organizations, interact with service dogs, and get hands on and behind the wheel of a brand new Mercedes. And if you’re hungry, there will be plenty of food trucks and vendors on-site as well.

The event will be held on Saturday, June 13 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Mercedes-Benz of St. Augustine located off of World Commerce Parkway.

Admission is $25, and includes light appetizers and two beverages. Tickets are available on Eventbrite.
