UNLEASH YOUR INNER CHILD & CONNECT WITH NATURE AT KOASTAL SUP YOGA IN ST. AUGUSTINE

Stand Up Paddleboarding in St. Augustine

Paddle through Salt Run, view an exquisite sunrise, and encounter dolphins and sea turtles along the Intracoastal, all while getting a workout in. These are just a few of the experiences you’ll have once you push off the dock with Koastal Paddleboard Yoga & Eco-Tours. Owned and operated by St. Augustine local Kelly Simmons, Koastal SUP (stand-up paddleboard) Yoga provides participants the chance to float on the water and try something new. Each board is equipped with a full-size yoga mat, providing optimum comfort and a one-of-a-kind experience.

“I was smitten with SUP Yoga during my first class,” explained Simmons. “I attempted boat pose and felt the water gently rock the paddleboard beneath me. The connection I felt with the natural environment at that moment was unforgettable. My goal is to provide a space for people to connect with nature, let their inner child shine, and spark a passion and excitement for learning something new.”

Originally from Massachusetts, Kelly Simmons made her way to the Sunshine State in March of 2017. She hopped on a paddleboard for a SUP yoga class just one month later and immediately fell in love. Certified yoga instructor, paddleboard instructor, and personal trainer, Simmons offers excursions by-appointment, including SUP yoga group classes, eco-tours, bachelorette parties, private classes, workout sessions, and more. Classes are taught to all levels, and each class begins with an introduction to stand-up paddleboarding, so participants feel at ease before hitting the water.

“If you can drive a car, you can paddle a board,” said Simmons. “It’s about letting go and letting your inner child out. Once you cross that threshold and leave the dock, things change. I adore being able to provide people living in or visiting St. Augustine with the opportunity to have fun and stay healthy while reconnecting with the great outdoors through stand-up paddleboard yoga.”
