If you are a lover of fine cuisine and community philanthropy, then you will be delighted to learn of the International Culinary Event taking place at the La Cocina International Restaurant, located inside the Castillo Real Hotel. Giving back to the community has never been this fun. At this event, you will enjoy a delicious four-course meal, accompanied by Central-American inspired entertainment.
The culinary happening is the brainchild of La Cocina owner, Norberto Jaramillo and local business owner, Luis Vienrich. Together with Peruvian born Chef Marcel Vizcarra, they have designed a spectacular evening with a menu that will make your taste buds tingle. Luis said, “We were thinking about what we can do different in our community that people will really enjoy, and at the same time we can give back. This is all about giving back and having fun doing it.”
Chef Marcel has designed four exquisite menus, which reflect a Latin fusion style of cooking, which he learned while studying at the Le Cordon Bleu culinary school in Lima. The second event in the series of fundraiser dinners is scheduled for May 7, 6:30pm-9pm. In addition to the custom-themed delectable menu, each course will include expert Chilean wine pairings.
The evening will also feature an incredible performance by Mexico en La Piel.
Only 60 tickets are available for each date, so book early to guarantee a spot. Tickets start at $100/single and $180/couple for each seating. All ticket sales will be donated to a non-profit. The beneficiary of this event will be the Home Again St. Johns, which offers supportive housing to homeless individuals and families across the county. Call 904-461-8288 to reserve a table.
Each International Culinary Event is sure to be an amazing experience with estimated contributions of up to $5,000.00 for each charity.
