Not long ago, it seemed like there was an explosion of donut shops in St. Augustine. All of a sudden, we had pastry chefs slinging the fried dough confections everywhere and filling them and topping them with all sorts of out-of-this-world sweets and garnishes. Trust us – we’re not complaining. Because the influx of donut shops in St. Augustine has meant that it doesn’t matter where in the city you go (from downtown to beachside and beyond), you’re never far from something delicious. So whether you prefer classic glazed, simple chocolate sprinkles, or piled high with candies and frostings of all kinds, explore the wonderful world of donuts in St. Augustine.
