Maybe you have a small kitchen, or would just rather enjoy the company of your family then be stuck in the kitchen peeling potatoes and checking on a turkey for hours. Regardless of the reasons, Thanksgiving sounds unusually relaxing (for the cooks anyway) when prepared by someone else. If you enjoy the smell and satisfaction of your own home cooked turkey too much, you could make your own and just pick up the sides to take some of the work off your hands.
There are plenty of places to pick up a Thanksgiving dinner to serve at home to your guests. Many are heat and serve options that you will have to pick up before Thursday, but some can be picked up the day of ready to be enjoyed. The meals that are heat and serve require between an hour and a half to two hours for heating, so be prepared for at least some kitchen time if you that route.
- Publix: heat and serve
- Winn Dixie: heat and serve
- Honey Baked Ham: heat and serve
- Cracker Barrel: pick up on Thanksgiving, already hot!
- Sonny’s: pick up on Thanksgiving, already hot!
- The Fresh Market (Ponte Vedra): heat and serve
- Boston Market (Ormond Beach): heat and serve
- Whole Foods (Jax Beach): heat and serve

Making a phone call for your Thanksgiving dinner order or reservation sounds a lot easier than all the work that goes into planning and preparing a meal to entertain a group of people. It’s really tempting to order at least some of the meal pre-made, even for someone like me who enjoys prepping the pies the day before and starting the turkey early in the morning. Regardless, the best part of this holiday is making new memories and keeping up traditions with your loved ones. Well that and the pumpkin pie!! 😉
