Strap on Your Running Shoes for Palatka’s 2018 Viking 5K

For the fifth year in a row, St. Johns River State College is hosting the Viking 5K to support its athletic programs. Open to runners, walkers, and anyone who feels like raising their heart rate, this race will take place on Saturday, May 26 at 8am. It will start at the Bronson-Mulholland House in Palatka and wind through the Palatka-to-St. Augustine trail before making its way down Madison Street and back to the House. It’s a beautiful course for any skill level and sure to be a good time for everyone!

Pre-registration is encouraged, but registrants will be accepted on the day of the race. Pre-registration is $25 and day-of registration is $30. Any SJR State employee, student, or alumni can register for $20.

If you’re looking for a little pre-race fun, head to pick up your race packet Uncork and Unwind in Palatka on Friday, May 25 from 5-7pm for Vikings Night. On the day of the race, registration and packet pick-up will begin at 6am. Overall male and female winners will receive $100. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes will be given out to male and female finishers in a number of age categories.
