Pink Up the Pace is more than just a race. The organization works hard throughout the year to raise money to help fund imaging services to detect breast cancer. Pink Up The Pace raises money to assist the uninsured and underinsured in the early detection of breast cancer and increase public awareness of the importance of early detection and provide support to survivors and their families. The October race is their big annual fundraiser to assist in these efforts. And the time has come again! So strap on your running shoes, stay hydrated, and get out in the fresh air – because it’s time to race!
THE BASICS
The race will take place on Saturday, October 6. Day-of registration and warm-ups will happen at Francis Field, and the race itself will kick off at 8am on San Marco Avenue in front of the Visitors Information Center.
THE EXPO
On Friday, October 5, Pink Up the Pace will host an expo at First Coast Technical College from 2:30-6:30pm. In addition to pre-race packet pick-up, attendees will be able to meet with more than fifty local business vendors as they support the race. They’ll be giving out information, raffling prizes, and distributing gifts. Don’t miss out on the raffle table where you can enter to win prizes like:
- Ornate pottery from Leonardi’s Nursery
- $25 gift card and tumbler from Line and Waves Boutique
- Earrings from 360 Boutique
- Signature Manicure and Pedicure from Poseidon Spa

RACE DAY AGENDA
The Pink Up the Pace race begins at 8am, but that’s not all that’s going on that day! From warm-ups and DJs, here’s the whole day’s schedule.
- 7:00-7:50: Day of registration (Francis Field)
- 7:30: Survivor Picture by Pink Heals Fire Truck (Francis Field)
- 7:35-7:45: Zumba Warm-up (Francis Feld)
- 7:45: DJ gets crowd moving to start line (On San Marco in front of VIC)
- 7:55: National Anthem
- 8:00: Runners Start (On San Marco in front of VIC)
- 8:05: Walkers Start (On San Marco in front of VIC)
- 9:15: Awards (Francis Field)
- 9:30: Kids Fun Run (Francis Field)
THE COURSE
KIDS FUN RUN
Lighthouse Pediatrics is the sponsor for the Kids Fun Run. The fun run is scheduled for 9:30am. All participants, 6 and under, are free. All participants must be registered for the Fun Run. Registration is available at the expo and on race day but it is limited to the first 100 participants registered.
REGISTRATION
Registration ends on October 5. Registration for the 5K Run/Walk is $30 or free for breast cancer survivors. Participants 14 and under are $15. You can register for the race by visiting www.runsignup.com/Race/FL/StAugustine/PinkUpThePace5kWalkRun.
