Many parents were jarred by the St. Johns County School System closing until April 15. It can be a lot to handle to have the little ones stuck at home – whether or not you too are working from home. Kids have to be entertained, and you want to keep up with the education they’re missing out on. That’s easier said that done. The library, though, is here to help. Adding a little brightness to a bleak situation, the St. Johns County Public Library System is hosting a virtual storytime every morning. Through Facebook Live, a Youth Services Librarian from SJCPLS will read some of the delightful and engrossing stories from their shelves.
The storytimes will take place on Facebook Live each morning Monday-Friday at 11am. They’ll last for approximately 30 minutes. They’ll be recorded and posted to the library’s Facebook page afterwards, so even if you miss out, you’ll be able to enjoy the recording.
Like everyone, the library’s work is changing each day as new Coronavirus updates come in, so there may be unexpected changes to the schedule. You can follow along on social media and the library website to keep up-to-date.
