St. Augustine Hosts Pecha Kucha Night!

Free expression of ideas and a willingness to communicate and discuss openly are essential to the success of any community, city, or nation. This desire for debate encourages St. Augustine to join in with 950 other cities nationwide to host a Pecha Kucha Night.

Pecha Kucha is an informal gathering where creative minds get together to share their ideas, thoughts, stories, and inspirations with our community. The hallmark of all Pecha Kucha presentations is adhering to a strict 20×20 format. Speakers prepare 20 slides and have 20 seconds to speak to each slide for a total talk-time of 6 minutes and 40 seconds. Volume 10 speakers are pre-selected and practice their presentations prior to the event.

Join the crowd for an evening of thinking and drinking as presenters from our community share ideas, stories and insights on Something Good.

The presenters are as follows:

Donny Brazile, Professor, Flager College
Kate Gardiner, Photographer, Kate Gardiner Photography
Luke Broderson, Graphic Designer, Spacecamp Co.
Karen Coker, Art History Professor, SFCJ
Harold George, Librarian, St. Johns County
Matt Colaciello, Multimedia Social Justice Storyteller, The Global Workshop
Emma Cooksey, Ayusa Community Representative
Sheila Veatch, Educator
Sean Kelly Conway, Photographer
Joan White, Educator, St. Johns County
Pat King, Founder of Copprome Children’s Home
Pecha Kucha Volume 10 will be hosted at Hoptinger Bier Garden on Monday, March 27 at 7pm. Adult beverages and food will be available for purchase at Hoptinger during the event.
