What started as a small celebration of St. Augustine’s local music community has grown into one of Northeast Florida’s largest live music festivals. As Sing Out Loud Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary this September, the event is returning to the grassroots spirit that inspired its launch in 2016, with more than 100 free performances taking place across a dozen venues throughout the city.
This year’s festival also marks a new chapter. The marquee Francis Field Weekend has been moved to May 2027 as organizers look to strengthen the overall experience for artists, fans and the community, allowing September’s festival to place an even greater emphasis on local talent.
The 2026 Sing Out Loud Festival Local Artist Showcases, presented by PNC Bank, will feature more than 100 free performances during the first three weeks of September at venues including Boat Drinks, Colonial Oak Music Park, Prohibition Kitchen, Ragga Surf Cafe and more. Attendees can enjoy a wide range of genres, from indie rock and bluegrass to hip hop, country, spoken word and comedy. Beyond the Local Showcases, the festival will offer several signature events for music lovers, industry professionals and collectors alike.
For those interested in the stories behind the songs, the St. Augustine Songwriters Festival brings acclaimed songwriters together to perform and offer an inside look at the inspiration and creative process behind their music. The free Sing Out Loud Music Business Panel gives aspiring musicians and fans an inside look at the industry through conversations with music professionals.
Aspiring musicians and curious music fans can also gain an inside look at the industry during the free Sing Out Loud Music Business Panel. Held September 23rd at Spinster Abbott’s, this year’s discussion, The Indie Advantage, will feature music industry professionals exploring how independent artists can distribute their music, generate income, protect their work and build sustainable careers outside the traditional major-label system. The event concludes with a Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to hear firsthand from industry experts and ask questions about navigating today’s music business.
The festival experience continues with Sip Out Loud, a ticketed evening pairing wine, live music and culinary creations in an intimate setting. Guests can enjoy a private wine tasting at Bin 39 alongside dishes prepared by chefs Michael Lugo, Norberto Jaramillo, Jonathan Henri, James Greeve and Anabell Burton Vizcarra. For music collectors and vinyl enthusiasts alike, the St. Augustine Record Fair presented by Tonevendor Records returns this September as a festival favorite. The Record Fair will feature vendors selling vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, memorabilia and band merchandise, along with live music and food trucks.
