An actor’s life is never easy. One day you’re the Mayor of Disney’s Toontown, the next you’re the resident shopkeeper for Barbra Streisand’s basement mall. At least that’s how Alex More feels after he takes a job working in the Malibu mansion of the beloved megastar. Then one day, the Lady Herself comes downstairs to play. It feels like a real bonding in the basement, but will their relationship ever make it upstairs? Buyer & Cellar is an outrageous comedy about the price of fame, the cost of things, and the oddest of odd jobs.
Buyer & Cellar is a one-man show featuring Bradley Akers, most recently at The Limelight as the Director of the wildly successful Heathers, The Musical, in a limited engagement run from March 22 through March 24.
Buyer & Cellar marks Bradley’s return to the stage after a 5 year hiatus! His acting credits include Water by the Spoonful (FountainHead/John), Our Town (George Gibbs), Almost, Maine (East/Phil), AIDA, Bang, Bang You’re Dead, Godspell, Still Life with Iris (Mozart), The Fantasticks (Matt) and Kiss Me, Kate.
Bradley is better known around NE Florida as a Director. His credits include The Walls and ‘night, Mother (The 5 & Dime), Heathers the Musical and The Last 5 Years (Limelight Theatre), The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time, Into the Woods, Almost, Maine, Godspell, AIDA, The Lyons and Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead (all with Players by the Sea), ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas and The Robber Bridegroom (ABET).
