INK! Collects Donations For St. Johns County Teachers

It takes an entire community to raise a school and educate a child. Since 1994, INK! Investing In Kids has been committed to banding St. Johns County together by raising funds, collecting supplies, and connecting community members with local schools in meaningful, lasting ways. Each year, teachers nationwide spend hundreds of dollars out of pocket on supplies from paper to erasers for their students. To help alleviate this burden, they created the Tools-4-Schools Program, a resource where teachers can request classroom supplies throughout the year that INK! will then deliver directly to their schools at no cost. But they can’t do it alone; they need the entire community’s support, and there are plenty of ways you can help. From June 15th through August 31st, INK! encourages individuals, organizations, and businesses to get involved by hosting a school supply drive, serving as a drop-off location, or by donating supplies at an existing site. If you can’t make it out in person, they also offer an Amazon Wish List on their website listing items like pencils, pens, and notebooks that are always in demand by classrooms. Additional help can be provided through a monetary contribution, volunteering to help sort and distribute donations, or all of the above.

Supplies aren’t the only thing schools need. Through partnerships with donors, businesses, and individuals, they provide grants to classrooms and school-wide academic programs, so students may receive more meaningful learning experiences that help them discover their interests, encouraging them to grow and propelling them toward future success.
