Mimosas, quiche, waffles, croissants, and… crab legs? The best part of the weekend in my opinion is getting to spend time with family and friends, over food of course. Add in a little seafood and mimosas – brunch-tastic! St. Augustine has a bunch of restaurants opened for breakfast and many serve a brunch menu. Depending on the atmosphere and style of early morning cuisine you are looking for, you have a lot of options to choose from.
Where to get Brunch in St. Augustine:
- The Gallery Cafe: Sunday Brunch Buffet, 9 AM- 2 PM, $15 plus drinks.
- The Reef: Sunday Brunch Buffet, 11:00 AM- 2:30 PM, $35 includes champagne.
- 95 Cordova Restaurant: Sunday Brunch Buffet: 10:30 AM- 2 PM, $35 plus drinks.
- Cafe 11: Brunch Buffet, Saturday & Sunday 8:00 AM- 12:30 PM, $9.95 plus drinks.
- Gypsy Cab Company: Sunday Brunch, 10:30 AM- 3:00 PM.
- Bistro de Leon: Saturday & Sunday Brunch, 8:30 AM- 11:30 AM.
Most of the above restaurants have the usual brunch items on their buffets or menus: omelets, crab legs, pancakes, waffles, bacon, fruit, etc. If you aren’t quite ready for a stuffed to the brim belly before noon, then there are plenty of spots in town that offer early meal options.
Other great Breakfast spots to consider in St. Augustine:
- Yard Bird Cafe: Breakfast served all day.
- The Bunnery
- Manatee Cafe
- Wildflower Cafe
- World Famous Oasis
- Theo’s Restaurant
- Cracker Barrel
The Bunnery has a great eggs florentine, or eggs benedict for the meat eaters. If you want something sweet with your coffee try Theo’s for the largest cinnamon bun I have ever seen. It is so big it reaches off their entree plate! Manatee Cafe is a great option anytime of day, and their breakfast burrito will not disappoint you either.
I feel like any meal involving breakfast food and champagne qualifies to be referred to as brunch. Do you have a favorite brunch spot I missed? Let us know in the comments below!
