12th Annual Ponte Vedra Auto Show Hosted by the SJC Chamber of Commerce and presented by Brumos Automotive on Sunday, September 28th. The Show features up to 175 classic and new collectors cars all vying for the shows 30 trophies. For 2014, Bozard Ford Lincoln will sponsor the 50th anniversary of the Ford Mustang at the PV Auto Show. Awards ceremony takes place at 2 pm on TPC Sawgrass back lawn. Local Food Trucks and the TPC Sawgrass Clubhouse will provide food and beverage for all. Entry and Parking are free to spectators!
“Great St. Augustine Skeleton Scavenger Hunt” hosted by the Ripley’s attractions and 15 local businesses throughout the city. Starting October 1 thru the 31st, simply hunt the 15 skeletons down and take a skeleton selfie with each one and upload the pictures to their Facebook page.
Marineland Beach Walk on October 2 from 8:30 am to 10:00 am, join the Friends of the GTM Reserve where an interpretive guide will explain our beaches differences and detail the local species inhabiting our shoreline. A unique family trip that will help you answer the “whys” your little ones come up with.
St. Augustine Distillery Tours & Tastings is an impressive trip into the history of ice making and distilling in Florida. Located in a historically renovated ice manufacturing plant from 1919, the distillery uses vintage machinery and techniques to produce vodka, rum, gin and whiskey.
St. Augustine Record Fair and performance “Live from the Backroom” with Walter Martin will be held at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Sunday, October 12th. Gates open at 6:00 pm and admission is Free.
The U.S. Air Force Concert Band and Singing Sergeants will perform at the St. Augustine Amphitheatre on Monday, October 20th. Graciously presented by the Friends of the St. Augustine Amphitheatre, if you are a proud citizen of the United States, this is one performance not to be missed. Gates open at 6:00pm.
2nd Annual Celebrity Guitar Raffle and Auction is designed for music lovers and memorabilia collectors. On Saturday, October 25th from 4:00pm till 9:00pm, guitars from: Rise Against, Big Time Rush, Justin Moore, Sublime With Rome, Slightly Stoopid, Black Crowes, Passion Pit and OAR will be raffled off. Additionally, guitars available thru the online auction from: Steve Miller Band, Carlos Santana, Willie Nelson, Jack Johnson, Steely Dan, Lumineers, Barenaked Ladies, Chicago, John Hiatt, L.L. Cool J. et al, Billy Idol, Lyle Lovett, Procol Harum, Ian Anderson, Dave Mason, Alan Jackson & Glorianna, Frampton, Cray & Croper, Earth Wind and Fire, Alabama, Avett Brothers, Jill Scott and Yes will provide an opportunity to own an awesome piece.
17th Annual St. Augustine Greek Festival Opa! Greek food and pastries await you at the 17th Annual St. Augustine Greek Festival. October 10-12, 2014, Francis Field, located in downtown St. Augustine, will be transformed into a virtual Greek village with Greek food, live Greek music, traditionally-costumed Greek folk dancers, arts & crafts vendors, and a kids center with games, rides, & more! The parishioners of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church have been busy preparing pans of mouthwatering pastitsio (macaroni with a delicious meat sauce topped with a crema), and dolmathes (stuffed grape leaves). The Grill will serve up souvlaki (pork and chicken shish-kabobs), gyros, and kid friendly fare. Come on out and be Greek for a day…it’s just more fun! Kids 12 and under are free.
NAS Jax Airshow | Birthplace of the Blue Angels At the NAS Jax Air Show on October 25th & 26th you will witness thrills like never before from a variety of military and civilian demonstrations. The new Spitfire Jet Semi will be racing down the runway at speeds more than 300 mph. The grand finale will be the Navy’s flight demonstration team: The Blue Angels.
While you are at the show enjoy military and civilian aircraft displays, shop at novelty, food and beverage booths, or head to the free Kid’s Zone for games and activities for all ages. Note: Boats are welcome, so drop anchor in the St. Johns and enjoy a front row seat.
St. Augustine Outlets Trick-or-Treating on October 31st from 6-8 pm. Children of all ages are welcome to trick-or-treat at all stores displaying a jack-o-lantern sticker on their window.
