This Fall, Limelight Theatre is packed with a variety of events and performances for everyone. Many theatre workshops and activities are offered to kids, along with a Christmas parade at the end of the year. Also being featured at the Limelight Theatre are enticing plays with gritty acts centered around starvation, post-war challenges and the Salem witch trials.
On-Stage Events
The fall season brings new performances to the mainstage at Limelight Theatre. Swing by to experience performances of unconventional plays with eccentric storylines and unforgettable characters.
RING OF FIRE (Musical)
A musical based around Johnny Cash hits, including 38 musical numbers in this energetic story. Performances go through October 18 on the Matuza main stage. Tickets can be purchased online or at the box office.

THE CHRISTIANS (Drama)
A thought-provoking story that asks what it takes to be a Christian in today’s world. Performances go from October 23 to November 15 at the Koger Gamache Studio Theatre. Tickets for The Christians are $26 for adults, $24 for seniors, $20 for military and students, and $15 for preview night and Terrific Tuesday.
THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER
A couple struggles to produce a Christmas pageant while having to cast some of the most awful kids in history–the Herdman kids. Mayhem ensues in this family-friendly holiday play. Performances start from December 11 to January 3, 2016 on the Matuza main stage.
STONE SOUP (Musical)
Three starving soldiers encounter many obstacles after being cut off from their company. Taking place in Belgium right after the Battle of Waterloo, this musical follows French soldiers in a clever tale centered around hunger, suspicion, and a feast-producing stone. Performances are October 23 at 5 p.m. and October 25 at 11 a.m. on the Matuza main stage. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.
A VOICE IN THE DARK, A SALEM STORY
Catch this thrilling act surrounding the Salem witch trials, as told by a young woman. Performances are October 30th at 5 p.m., and 11 a.m. on October 31 and November 1 on the Matuza main stage. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for kids.

Kid’s Activities
The following activities are a perfect way for kids to build confidence, engage in creative activities and get involved with theatre.
CREATIVE DRAMATICS
Offered to 4-5 year-olds and first to second-graders, Creative Dramatics is a series of theatre classes that uses fun activities to help build kids’ confidence.
SPOOKLEY THE SQUARE PUMPKIN
Offered to 4-5 year olds. Goes from 9-9:45 a.m. every Saturday from October 10 to November 14. Performance on November 14 at 10 a.m. in the black box at Koger-Gamache Studio Theatre. Registration is $90 for each student.
FRIDAY THE SCAREDY CAT
For first to second-graders. Goes from 10:30-11:15 a.m. every Saturday from October 10 to November 14. Performance on November 14 at 11:30 a.m. in the black box at Koger-Gamache Studio Theatre. Registration is $90 for each student. For more information, email limelightkidz@gmail.com.
SCHOOL’S OUT, THEATRE’S IN (SOTI)
Theatre games, crafts, and improv are all included in this workshop offered to elementary kids. The sessions are based on children’s books, and are held on days school is not in session in St. John’s county. All workshops take place from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and cost is $35 per student.

Kidzfactory Events
Come join the KidzFactory at upcoming outdoor events celebrating their organization.
ANCIENT CITY KIDS DAY
Come out and have some fun on Francis Field while the Kidzfactory shares a booth with the Princesses of Girly Girl Parteas. Event is on October 24 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission is free.
AUGUSTINE CHRISTMAS PARADE AND PARTY
Dress up as a nativity character and be prepared to hand out candy to parade-goers at this year’s Christmas Parade. The theme is “The Best Christmas Pageant Ever.” A Christmas party follows the parade, open to all participants of Limelight’s KidzFactory, to celebrate a successful year. Cups, plates, napkins, drinks and Christmas cookies will be provided. Bring finger food to share! Parade is on December 5.
