Fort Mose State Park will offer a free guided birding and marsh walk. The walk will be led by birding expert Susan Killeen and is free and open to the public. The park boasts several natural environments where birds thrive, including an estuarine tidal marsh, a maritime hammock, and “Rookery Island,” which is home to many nesting species in the spring.
Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather and bring binoculars, water, rubber boots, and a field guide if they have one. The event is weather permitting and subject to cancellation. Please call (904) 823-2232 to confirm.
