Awetism Wonderland is a one-of-a-kind autism therapy center that will open in St. Augustine, Florida, on August 6, 2021. Awetism Wonderland provides therapy for children on the spectrum, including recreational therapy, speech therapy, physical therapy and occupational therapy, but also art, music, yoga, baking, dance and horticultural therapy. Awetism Wonderland will also have something for the whole family, with support therapy offered to parents and siblings of children with autism. The center will be a life-saver for many special-needs families who struggle to see the needs of their children.
The grand opening of the center will be celebrated between August 6 and 8. On August 6, at noon, a ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held, followed by an open house, a meet-and-greet, and a tour of the 1.5 acre property.
On August 7, at 10 a.m., the first annual Wonder Run will take place, followed by fun family activities that will include a giant slip and slide. Food will be served. That evening at 7 p.m., an event for special-needs moms to share resources will be held.
Finally, on August 8 at 4 p.m., the founder of Awetism Wonderland, Dr. Stephanie Vavilala, will host a book signing for her recently released children’s book, Sabita Finds Her Voice, and you will have the opportunity to get your picture taken in front of a hot air balloon.
