With the election coming up in November, local residents are hunkering down to do their research on the county’s primary election candidates. And though you can always head to their respective websites or third-party sites to find out their stance on the issues that are most important to you, the best way to know for sure is to ask them directly. And at St. Johns County’s Tidal Town Hall, you’ll have the chance to do just that.
The Tidal Town Hall will take place on July 26, 2018, at the Guana Tolomato Matanzas National Estuarine Research Reserve in Ponte Vedra. Moderated by Brian Nelson, the event is a chance for residents to speak with primary election candidates about their approach to protecting Florida from sea level rise. A pre-event reception will take place at 5:30pm, and the event will begin at 6pm.
The attending candidates will be:
Congressional District 4
- Joceline Berrios
- Jason Bulger
- Gary Koniz
- George Selmont
State House District 24
- Adam Morley
County Commission District 4
- Nicholas Dudynskay
- John Gorman
City of St. Augustine Commission Seat 4
- John Valdes
If you’re located in Duval County, there will be a town hall event on August 6 at the UNF Adam W. Herbert University Center.
