Sunday Gathering Table, recently given a 2026 Michelin Bib Gourmand is located right in the heart of downtown St. Augustine. Offering their iconic Shakshuka with stewed tomatoes and peppers, cilantro, eggs, and crunchy sourdough bread, guests who brunch at Sundays eat food that make their tummies and hearts happy. Not only having sourdough as Sunday’ Gathering Table’s main staple, their Eggs Benedict with Lobster or Smoked Salmon and umami Oyster and Shittake Mushroom Toast with goat cheese, herb pesto, and cured lemon, ensures diners to rich, warm, and herby flavors that would make any brunch-goer’s mouth water. In August 2024, Brett and Barbie Vanfossen-Palecek opened B&B’s Brunch Bar right outside downtown St. Augustine with a goal of creating a comfortable, fun, and delicious environment that brings brunch-goers together. Since then, their range of mimosas and Eggs Benedict’s will not only honor that goal but surpass it. B&B’s also offers dishes like Bubba’s Shrimp and Grits with spicy grilled shrimp topped with a habanero bacon jam over a bowl of cheesy, buttery grits and bacon bits to warm any southern heart. Led by Matthieu Landillon from the coastal French city of Marseille, La Nouvelle Bistro brings French Nouveau to Lincolnville. At La Nouvelle Bistro, owner Chef Michael Lugo set out to offer a piece of Paris with table platters like the buttery Foie Gras Torchon with sauternes-soaked apricots, cornichons, onion jam, and country toast or lavish Black River Caviar. Bar Citra is featured on the 2026 Michelin Bib Gourmand and is co-owned by Andrew Deming and Rachel Gant. Through Bar Citra, Deming and Gant curated the Citra Collection and Botanica which feature spices and scents and Yield Design Co which sells elegant, functional glassware and apothecary for intentional living. During the summer time, Bar Citra has created a summer collection with savory buns, community gatherings, and happy hour flights between 3-5 p.m. For Bar Citra, dining isn’t just about brunch, lunch, or dinner, it’s about community and being able to share community with food. Community is integral to Bar Citra with varying pop-up events occurring throughout the summer and sourdough launches Thursday through Sunday morning while supplies last. Recently opened outside of the heart of downtown St. Augustine lies Maison Louis Cafe. Chef Jerome Bensimon opened this cafe in 2025, offering a wide selection of sandwiches including their Le Normandie which features an Egg’s Benedict with an in house bun, Hollandaise Sauce, smoked salmon, capers, and poached egg. Bensimon studied under legendary mentors in kitchens in New York City and France, to then bring savory and decadent dishes to St. Augustine. Maison Louis Cafe aims to bring customers in hungry and leave satiated with a little taste of France, open 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Sunday with their kitchen closing at 2 p.m, France is calling and it’s in St. Augustine.
