Tacos have become a culinary sensation, with people even sporting their love for tacos on clothing and products. There is no question that people LOVE tacos. I mean, there is even a day of the week dedicated to it. There are many great places in St. Augustine to satisfy all of your taco cravings, whether it’s Taco Tuesday or any other day of the week. Here is a list of some of our favorites.

With its convenient location at the beach, late night weekend hours, and a mouthwatering menu, A1A Burrito Works Taco Shop has become a favorite for locals and tourists alike. You can order your tacos with The Works or Baja Style, if you like an extra kick.

This laid-back original taqueria features an array of fresh, made-to-order tacos, taco bowls, and delicious sides. The counter-service ordering features an array of options with outdoor picnic tables & vibrant interiors. Osprey Tacos is also gluten free and vegan friendly. At Mojo’s, all their tacos are served “double decker style” with a soft shell and hard shell stuck together with melted cheddar cheese. Situated conveniently on the south side of Anastasia Boulevard between the beach and downtown, Mojo’s Tacos is a local staple with no frills, only delicious, fresh tastes. They also have a variety of vegetarian options, including marinated tempeh and tofu.

Whether you are on your lunch break or worked up an appetite from browsing the stores on St. George Street, this is a great place to stop for a quick and delicious meal. With creative tacos like the Kung Fu-Style that packs a crunchy kick, and the chewy, crunchy, cheesy Mexican UFO, a meal at Taco Shop will be something you’ll crave long after you’ve finished.
833 S Ponce De Leon Blvd
With taco specials every Tuesday, Tijuana Flats is known for their specialty sauces that elevate their many different taco options. This is a great place to get hard shell tacos, which are sometimes hard to find. This Tex-Mex chain is a fast-casual hybrid that delivers consistently good meals at a reasonable price, with fresh food, hot sauce bars, art murals and off-beat culture.
700 A1A Beach Blvd
This island-style bar and grill offers Caribbean & American bites located a block from the beach. The experience at Mango Mango’s is about much more than a great meal and friendly people. It’s an escape. The unique food and laid-back atmosphere is what keeps people coming back again and again. They have a variety of tacos, but their Caribbean Jerked Tuna Tacos are definitely something to write home about.

In the heart of historic St. Augustine, Catch 27th is known for preparing and serving fresh, locally caught seafood from the nation’s 27th State. This elevated eatery offers a quiet, comfortable dining atmosphere in downtown St. Augustine that would be perfect for either “date night” or for a group of friends. Taco Libre has grown to be one of Jacksonville’s premiere Mexican Food restaurants specializing in “AUTHENTIC” Mexican food. After 5 years of successful operation, they announced their second location in our very own St. Augustine. Now St. Augustinians can enjoy some of the best tacos inside their colorful interior without leaving the Island. Try their Buffalo Shrimp Tacos with deep fried southern shrimp tossed in their ranch buffalo sauce and topped with cabbage.
