It’s been said that “everyday is kids’ day” but the demands of our daily lives make spending meaningful time together a challenge. Ancient City Kids Day is about celebrating kids! The 20th Annual Ancient City Kids Day will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015 from 11am-3pm at Francis Field on Castillo Drive. This event, coordinated by EPIC Behavioral Healthcare and planned by numerous agencies, is a day of fun-filled activities for children and families.
The event is free for the public, and will include over 45 youth service agencies offering games and activities, arts and crafts, and contests for the kids and live entertainment all day – including the Wobbly Toms!. The St. Augustine Fire Department will be bringing a fire truck and the Sheriff’s Office will be bringing their helicopter and Mobile Command Unit for children to explore. Information about community resources will be available for parents. The only cost to the public will be for food or drinks.
Ancient City Kids Day has grown to be one of St. Augustine’s largest youth activities, and is a popular event for the whole family. Last year’s event brought approximately 2,000 people out for the fun. The organizers of Ancient City Kids Day hope to see as big a turnout this year as well for the many fun activities planned.
