Immerse yourself in the world of Vincent Van Gogh like you’ve never experienced before. Beyond Van Gogh is a rich and unique multimedia experience, taking the viewer on a journey through over 300 iconic artworks including instantly-recognizable classics “The Starry Night”, “Sunflowers”, and “Cafe Terrace at Night”, now freed from their frames.
Set to a symphonic score and using the artist’s own dreams, thoughts, and words to drive the experience as a narrative, Van Gogh’s art comes to life by appearing and disappearing, flowing across multiple surfaces and heightening the senses with their immense detail. Guests will leave with a new appreciation of this prolific artist’s stunning work.
While other shows use virtual reality or still images, this show, which plays on a 35 minute loop beginning with Vincent’s darker and more bleak paintings and progressing into land.scapes, still lifes and self portraits, breaks the barriers by incorporating both still and moving art which truly come alive as they are projected on every surface surrounding you. It makes you feel as though you’ve stepped directly into a Van Gogh painting.
This exhibit is currently on display in Jacksonville until November 6th in a 30,000 square foot space located at 119 West Beaver Street. It is the largest immersive experience in the country and is comprised of over 4 trillion content pixels for a high-resolution portrayal of these true masterpieces. Both adults and children will enjoy this experience with different tickets options available ranging from $24 to $84. The exhibit has been shown around the world, with over 4 million tickets sold globally. This is currently the only east coast stop on the tour.
