Now in it’s 36th year, the Lincolnville Festival is back this November 14th and 15th with a weekend full of food, music and activities for the whole family to celebrate the founding of Lincolnville. Since 1979, the Lincolnville Festival (which takes place at Eddie Vickers Park) has brought together the community through music and fun with the sole purpose to revitalize the Lincolnville community. This year’s line up includes regional favorites like the House Cats, Laurel Lee and the Escapees, Katherine Archer and many more. The Saturday line up will feature reggae, jazz, and blues acts while Sunday includes contemporary, rap and traditional gospel performances.
Founded in 1866 by recently freed slaves, Lincolnville has served as a monumental Civil Rights cite, where Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. led a movement in St. Augustine that caught national attention that later helped the signing of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
The event will host local vendors, with food, beer and wine options as well as non-alcoholic beverages at Eddie Vickers Park on Riberia Street. There will also be fun activities for children, and arts and crafts. Free parking and bike racks, plus plenty of lawn space, so festival-goers can bring blankets and chairs to watch the performances. Free shuttle services donated by Old Town Trolley Tours will also be provided. The shuttle will leave every half hour from the Visitor Information Center Parking Garage on 10 S Castillo Drive. Trolleys go from 10:30 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday and from 12:30 p.m. to 6 p.m on Sunday.
The festival will be from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on November 14, and 1 to 6 p.m. on November 15. Located at the Little Links (Eddie Vickers Park) on 399 Riberia Street.
