The summer heat is starting to wind down, and we’re getting ready to run outside again! Organizations and communities throughout the area are coming together for 5Ks, 10Ks, and fun runs to raise money, awareness, or even just for the love of running. Alex’s Capes & Tiaras 5K

Runners, walkers, and wheelchairs are welcome at this third annual 5K that honors Alex Landis, a young woman who made a tremendous difference in helping those who suffer from neuromuscular disabilities (NMD), despite her own physical disadvantages. Never one to shy away from glitter and glitz, the race honors Alex with a 5K, so bring your capes and tiaras and run for fun…or for a good time! Day-of Registration is $35. All proceeds benefit NMD United.

Feel the Love 5K

Local charity St. Augustine United presents the third annual Feel the Love 5K to benefit the mission of St. Augustine United – helping citizens to aid local charities. The race follows a flat 3.1-mile course through St. Augustine Beach neighborhoods, starting and finishing at the Pier. Awards are given to overall male and female finishers as well as the top three in each age category. Race day registration is $35.

Endless Summer Run 5K/10K

Pink Up the Pace

Jail Break 5K

Do you have what it takes to make a break? Channel your inner convict as you make your escape from The Old Jail and climb the treacherous Vilano Bridge. But as exciting as the run itself is, the real fun starts at 0.0. Between the costume contest, finish line Bloody Marys, and tons of race swag, there’s no better way to spend your Halloween weekend. Registration is $25 (or $45 on the day of the race). If you’d rather have all of the fun and none of the work, entrance to 0.0 is $25.

Cottonmouth Quarter Marathon & 5K

St. Augustine Half Marathon

One of the city’s largest annual races and (if we may say so) one of the most beautiful courses in the country. The half marathon course winds through downtown, over the Bridge of Lions, and across the island. Awards will be given out to top finishers in multiple ages categories in the half marathon, the 10K, and the 5K. Runners must be registered by November 5. Registration is $95 for the half marathon, $50 for the 10K, $40 for the 5K, and $10 for the Kids Fun Run.

It’s the perfect way to work up a serious appetite for your Thanksgiving dinner. Day of registration for the 10K and the 5K is $45. The fun run is $5 per child.

Santa Suits on the Loose 5K

Start your December out right by running up your Christmas spirit! With Santa suits provided for the first 100 registrants, this is one of St. Augustine’s most fun holiday traditions. The course follows a beautiful path through the St. Augustine Beach neighborhoods and ends back at the St. Augustine Beach Pier Park. Proceeds from the race benefit St. Augustine Youth Services – an organization that serves local foster kids and those with a mental health diagnosis and non-traditional families.

Matanzas 5000

One of the area’s fastest races, the Matanzas 5K follows a beautifully scenic route through downtown St. Augustine and along the Matanzas River. The race will begin at 8am. In addition to the 5K, there will also a Fun Run beginning at 9:15am. T-shirts will be given to the first 100 runners, and an awards ceremony will happen at 9:30am at Ketterlinus gym. Registration on the day of the race is $35. Registration for the Fun Run is on race day only.
