Summer is the time of fun and relaxation, and nothing screams “summer” quite like a good concert! With live music, and amazing performances all taking place on warm summer evenings, what could be better? From soothing Classical Tunes to Rock and Roll, Blues, Reggae (and even a Game of Thrones tribute) there are tons of shows for you to enjoy this season. We’ve gathered a list of some great concerts coming for you to attend, including local bands and free shows. So what are you waiting for? It’s time to put these events in your calendar.
St. Augustine Music Festival
St. Augustine Cathedral Basilica
This local event is a must-attend for those in the ancient city. This event is the largest free classical music event in the country. Taking place over 6 days in the last two weeks in June, this event will give you the chance to enjoy intimate solo recitals, chamber music ensembles, and full orchestral works. This event takes place in the beautiful St. Augustine Cathedral Basilica. Don’t miss out on this breathtaking concert! Performances are Thursday through Saturday, June 20-22 and June 27-29, 2019. Doors open at 7:00pm / Concerts begin at 7:30pm.
Colonial Oak Music Park
June 27, 7-10pm
Come out and enjoy the reggae-inspired music of Root Sea at the outdoor venue of Colonial Oak on Thursday, June 27th. This band is made up of close friends and family members so you’ll be sure to feel the love while they’re playing their music. This event is also free and open to the public, so there’s no reason to miss out on this event! So go ahead and spend your summer evening listening to live music in the heart of downtown St. Augustine.
Ramona The Band
June 28, 10pm
Prohibition Kitchen is always offering live music and entertainment at their location downtown. Making it the perfect opportunity to pop in and enjoy some great music while you’re wondering the streets of St. Augustine! Come on out on June 28 to hear some great covers by the local band, Ramona. Their lead singer has an amazing voice and their fun covers and mash-ups of popular songs are both unique and exciting! They’ll be sure to keep you on your feet and dancing all night long so don’t miss out on this local gem!
Claire Vandiver with guests Danielle Mohr and Peyton Lsescher
These musical artists will be performing at Sarbez! on Friday, June 28th. Claire Vandiver is well-known for her pop-folk musical taste and soulful voice. Sharing the stage alongside her will be Danielle Mohr and Petyon Lscescher, both talented performers who are making names for themselves across the state of Florida. This show will be the perfect nighttime event to kick back, enjoy a warm grilled cheese, and listen to some live music. Tickets to this event are $5.
Blues, Brews, and BBQ Festival
Wicked Barley Brewing Company
June 29, 11am
Wicked Barley Brewing Company is hosting an event on Saturday, June 29th, the weekend before the Fourth of July. This live-entertainment event is for you to enjoy food, drinks, and live music from some of Jacksonville’s best Blue’s bands including, Honey Hounds. The Honey Hounds are a Jacksonville-based Blue’s band that knows how to have a good time and will be sure to have you dancing all day long. This band is lively, entertaining, and always a great show so be sure to catch them at the festival!
Colonial Oak Music Park
July 5, 7-10pm
This live-music event invites you to come and enjoy an evening outside with a local band at the venue of the Colonial Quarter. St. Augustine’s very own band, Kapowski, will be playing at this year’s Oak Fest on Friday, July 5th. This event will allow you to enjoy the musical stylings of the local Blues Rock-inspired band. So keep your 4th of July party continuing all weekend long! This concert is also free, so you don’t want to miss it.
Sam Pacetti with guest Ancient City Slickers
The Front Porch at The Amp

Local musician, Sam Pacetti will be performing at the Night Market at The Amp on Tuesday, July 9 with guest, Ancient City Slickers. Well known for his alternatively transcendent music, Pacetti is a performer that you do not want to miss. Rebelution “Good Vibes” Tour

Summertime is all about the good vibes, and good times. So what better way to celebrate than at a concert filled with relaxing, uplifting reggae music? This California-based band is on tour to promote their 6th studio album, Free Rein and is returning for yet another unbelievable show for two days on August 14th and 15th. Game of Thrones Live Concert Experience

If you’re a fan of the hit series, Game Of Thrones, then this concert experience is one that you don’t want to miss. Back on tour for the third time this fall, this live event will feature an audio-visual stage fully equipped with an orchestra, choir, and projections from the television show. The performance will feature popular pieces from the series as well as new musical pieces from the latest season of the show. Don’t miss out on this incredible fantasy-like experience!
Sing Out Loud Music Festival
This event is the largest free music festival in St. Johns County. This year’s festival will be held on the four weekends between September 6 and 29, 2019 with hundreds of musical acts taking place at multiple venues downtown and at The St. Augustine Amphitheater. All of the concerts are free, with the exception of The Benefit Concert on September 21. A few notable artists that will be performing this year include Kacey Musgraves, St. Paul & the Broken Bones, Jenny Lewis, Kurt Vile, Shovels & Rope, Son Volt and Aaron Lee Tasjan, The Growlers, Hot Water Music, Propagandhi and Subhumans, GZA, The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, the Menzingers, and more! You certainly don’t want to miss out on this lively event!
