We all know the struggles of summer vacation. In your head, it’s idyllic. But in reality, the kids get bored easily, and you still have to go into work. So it’s time to start making plans now and alleviate some of that summer stress. On March 8 from noon to 6pm, STA Marketplace will provide locals a one-stop opportunity to plan their kids’ entire summer at Salomon Services (located behind Epic Movie Theatre). The Sampler for Kids and Summer Camp Expo provides locals the opportunity to register for summer camps, explore kids’ activities available year-round, sign-up for lessons and shop products geared toward kids.
Featured organizations, clubs and educators at the event include Ancient City Soccer Club, Flatwoods Forest School, STA City Market’s Young Entrepreneurs, Where Salt Meets Soul, Trinity Episcopal Learning Center, St. Augustine Youth Sailing, Happy Waves Surf School, Shamrock Indoor Soccer, Lighthouse Prep and Magical Melodies. Kids will have a blast experiencing the area’s offerings when they visit all the interactive booths during the Sampler…prizes and raffles abound!
Attendees will work up an appetite exploring all the lessons, camps, and activities available for kids. The Luvin’ O-Van will be on site to satiate hungry appetites. Visitors also have the opportunity to explore unique local businesses by shopping locally-handmade products by Boca Bebe; meeting local author Katie Petrinec and picking-up a copy of her children’s book, Mya and Crash; checking-out the awesome balloon install courtesy of Old City Occasions and talking to them about party planning; getting your picture taken in the fun photo booth and scheduling a family photo session with Jodie Dellinger Photography; smiling for Steve Robinson Media to be featured in the event video. Plus, no kids event would be complete without face painting by Old City Facecraft.
“Every spring, parents seek out activities to fill their kids’ summer. We created this event to showcase local opportunities and allow parents to fill their schedules at one place in one day,” said Monika Bernthal, creator of STA Marketplace.
Located at select venues throughout St. Johns County, STA Marketplace Samplers provide attendees a unique one-stop shopping and exploration experience to discover local organizations, activities and products they didn’t know existed right in their own back yard. These events are always free and fun for the whole family.
STA Marketplace’s mission is to make marketing accessible to all and encourage everyone to Live Local, Buy Local. Learn more at www.STAmarketplace.com.
