After the breakdown of her traumatic past, failed marriages and abuse, author Aimee P. Miller set off on a life-changing path to find spiritual freedom from her past and writing journey that would eventually become the subject of her 2020 Sassy & Saved. Following the death of mother last January, Aimee once again turned to writing to help cope with heartache, only this time around, she turned to building her relationship with God. “I can tell you absolutely it’s one woman’s journey finding purpose beyond the pain. It’s about forgiving yourself and having the courage to stand up and move on. Your past doesn’t define who you are. God can move through even the darkest seasons of your life for a greater purpose,” Aimee told St. Augustine Social in an exclusive interview about her novel Sassy & Saved which is published by Bookbaby and just released last month in June, 2020. That’s right, there is a new book coming out by Aimee P. Miller right here in the Nation’s Oldest City.
Told from the perspective of her adult self, Sassy & Saved is set right here in St. Augustine, Florida. It follows Aimee, a young woman who before was broken, fighting beyond the trauma she suffered while trekking on the journey to spiritual freedom, Sassy & Saved is one woman’s journey to finding purpose beyond the pain. Aimee inspires women and encourages them to forgive and transform into the women god called them to be.
To accomplish this, the reader must learn that the past doesn’t define who you are. A woman who lives with passion and purpose is free and no longer bound by shame and doubt. Aimee P. Miller bares liberating insight through biblical stories, and fearless, sassy honesty that will have you laughing and crying. She marries experiential wisdom with the Word of God to encourage others to remain immovably rooted in the unfailing love of God.
“Sassy and Saved takes you on a journey of emotions I would describe as vulnerable, authentic and ultimately redeemed,” says Jessica Huffman, Co-Founder and Pastor at Pneuma Life Church, Founder of #GirlGang Women’s Movement. “Aimee unfolds the raw moments of her life while revealing how God’s redemptive grace and love was in sync with her every move. She unpacks tragedy in a clear and practical way giving hope to every woman who asks, ‘Am I too flawed to be used by God?’ Aimee’s book, but ultimately her life, is an inspiring, power-filled, passionate, & resounding ‘YES’ to every woman who looks around for that answer!”
A unique story right here in St. Augustine about purpose and forgiveness, God, hope and desire to become better, regret and redemption, Sassy & Saved is said to be nothing like this town as seen before. Aimee has refreshing, innovative, modern, sassy, heartfelt, spiritual insight that will both encourage and excite you. This affirming message of spiritual freedom must be read and treasured.
“This book is different from others that I’ve read in that it came from a place of wanting to be deeply authentic and vulnerable through humor, raw emotions, and spiritual truths,” says Aimee. “And I offer it that way, as a feel good story. I told my editor I want this book to show the battle of Good versus Evil. I like it when the good guys win.”
“Sassy & Saved is a delicious redemption and a powerful story of the love Jesus has for you, smart and fun and satisfying. It marries experiential wisdom with the word of God to encourage others to remain immovably rooted in the unfailing love of God,” Author and Host of the Signature Podcast & Founder of Signature Wo. Elizabeth Grisham said in a press release about Aimee’s new novel. “I fully suspected that this would be a delectable, immersive book. What I didn’t know was that it would make me laugh out loud and underline passage after passage with its wisdom, that it would make me nod knowingly and also ultimately cry, from emotional connection. It’s a loving, God finding knowing book. It’s a novel about finding spiritual freedom, about being yourself and fighting for what you need in order to find real freedom and peace.”
