The St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum is pleased to announce a book signing with world-renowned author Rob Jacob, Saturday, November 24 in the courtyard of the museum, located at 12 S. Castillo Drive in Historic Downtown St. Augustine. Robert Jacob holds a lifelong passion for history and has participated in historical interpretation and reenactments for over four decades. During the past 12 years, he has focused on the golden age of piracy – with a concentration on Blackbeard. His newest book, A Pirate’s Life in the Golden Age of Piracy, has received wide acclaim – noted as “a treasure of information,” rich with stories, visual accuracy, and surprising revelations.

Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Robert graduated from Duquesne University with a Bachelor’s Degree in education in 1978. Rob entered the United States Marine Corps in 1982 where he served for 31 years – retiring at the highest rank in his occupational specialty. He also taught in the West Point public school district in West Point, Virginia for five years while completing his Master’s Degree from Virginia Commonwealth University in 1983.

The St. Augustine Pirate & Treasure Museum is proud to host Jacob, who will be giving a presentation at Noon, followed by a book signing immediately thereafter. Admission to the museum is not required to participate in this event.
