Chowder of all kinds is a staple of St. Augustine palettes. It’s hard to walk into a local joint and not find chowder of some kind on their menu (don’t get us wrong, we’re not complaining). But with all those chowders to choose from, there has to be a way to find the best of the best. Enter the 35th Annual Great Chowder Debate. In this beloved local competition, restaurants from all over the area will go head to head as judges and the public decide whose chowder reigns supreme. Don’t miss out on this delicious debate.

THE BASICS
The Great Chowder Debate will take place at The Conch House Marina on Sunday, November 4 starting at 12pm. Over 30 different restaurants come out to present more than 100 different chowders in five different categories – Minorcan Conch Chowder, Minorcan Clam Chowder, New England Clam Chowder, Seafood Chowder, and Non-Seafood Chowder. Tickets for chowder tastes will be sold for $1 each. Alongside the judged categories, guests can vote on their favorite chowders to decide which wins the “People’s Choice” award.
