Island Prep Preschool has not only expanded to include a primary school enrolling up to 3rd grade but is also building a new Preschool on US1. “There is a definite need for growth out in that area and I am glad Island Prep is expanding to incorporate more families who need quality preschool for their children,” says Megan Smalley, an Island Prep parent. Island Prep, which has been well known for its exceptional preschool program, is broadening its horizons with a new preschool being built from the ground up. The new school lovingly called IP West will be located directly across from the St. Augustine Shores south entrance. IP West will offer the wonderful enrichment programs that the school has become known for, including yoga and Spanish, there will be, both, a toddler and preschool playground, and will be landscaped with raised garden beds. Children will learn in a nurturing environment that feels like home, where they can feel confident, safe and loved.
This environment rich in hands-on learning, interactive play, and family-oriented atmosphere will have the same philosophies as the Island Prep our community has come to depend on for setting preschool standards high. Island Prep is forging ahead in the quest for a preschool experience that includes the way parents envision childcare in St. Augustine.
“Island Prep is an excellent school,” says another parent. “Kindness is key. The owners, the directors, the administration, and teachers wear this attribute in their eyes and hearts. They are a loving group who aim for the highest standards to keep your children happy, safe, and educated. Our daughter comes alive here. We hear her enthusiasm in this beautiful facility.”
Island Prep was established in 2011 and has been serving the community of St. Augustine with excellent early childhood education year after year. As an accredited institution Island Prep has worked to meet the needs of an ever-growing community with a natural approach to learning.
