On the first Friday of every month, St. Augustine’s art galleries welcome visitors to browse the latest art exhibits and enjoy refreshments and live entertainment at more than 25 participating galleries. For lovers of local art and culture, the First Friday Artwalk is a great way to celebrate both the start of a new month and the end of a long week. Spend your time hopping from gallery to gallery in the downtown area or jump on a complimentary shuttle and check out the galleries on the beach. But wherever you decide to spend your time, here’s what’s new at the August 3, 2018 First Friday Artwalk.
Cindy Wilson at Amistad
This First Friday event will feature Cindy Wilson, St. Augustine batik artist, live guitar music with Dennis Fermin, and complimentary wine tasting of artisan wines from around the world. Meet the artist, enjoy the music, taste some wine and enjoy some of the best friendship in town.

Nature & Wildlife Exhibit and Bird Talk at St. Augustine Art Association
Join STAAA during August’s First Friday Art Walk for a special presentation by Jacqui Sulek of Audubon Florida, “Native plants are the foundation of the food chain for all birds and wildlife. Learn how to enrich your yards using the plants that have evolved to flourish in Florida’s soils and weather. Not only will you be able to enjoy the ease and beauty of these landscapes but you will help provide for the needs of our birds, butterflies and other wildlife.”
The Nature & Wildlife Exhibit is a stunning show of the magnificence and diversity of the natural world. More than 100 unique interpretations of the landscape, sea life, birds, florals, wild beasts and endangered species are expressed through original paintings, sculptures, fiber, photography and mixed media. It is a thought-provoking presentation of Creation at its finest. All of the artwork is for sale.

Color Pop at The Gallery Group
This pop-up artist series will feature six local artists – Vaughn Cochran, Laura O’Neal, Lyne St Amand, James Macdonald, Sylvia Gortz & Teri Blaszkiewicz (Jewelry Artist). There will also be music by Colton McKenna.

Garage Sale at Butterfield Garage Art Gallery
The Annual Butterfield Garage “Garage Sale” opens on First Friday and will continue throughout the month of August. This year the sale will be bigger and better than ever!
