The new year is a time for new beginnings and plenty of (often forgotten) resolutions. But just before the new year actually starts, it’s a time for parties and celebrations. Whether you’re ringing in the year with your little ones and calling it an early night or staying up all night long to watch the sun rise on 2019, St. Augustine is the perfect place to spend your New Year’s Eve. Take in some fireworks at the beach’s favorite bash or raise a glass of champagne at midnight in a favorite local restaurant. We – and some local voices – are here to help you make the most of your 2019 New Year’s Eve in St. Augustine.
BEACH BLAST OFF
This giant party is a beloved tradition and a local favorite. On Monday, December 31 starting at 4pm, the Beach Blast Off will kick off at the St. Augustine Beach Pier. You’ll be treated to live music, food and drinks, a kids’ zone, and an unforgettable fireworks show. A family-friendly event, the Blast Off will go until 10pm with the fireworks starting at 8:30pm.
Take a trip to the Comfort Zone for wine, beer, and champagne and watch the festivities up in Time Square on a live broadcast. Local bands will provide a soundtrack to face painting, a photo booth, and carnival rides. Entrance to the event is free and open to the public.
