Perhaps your New Year’s resolution was to travel more. If your schedule and your bank account are protesting that resolve, but you’re still longing for some international culture, we’ve got the next best thing. On January 20, Amici Italian Restaurant will be hosting a celebration of Anno Nuovo (the New Year) and the Feast of Saint Sebastian that will take the form of an Italian street fair. From 1-4pm, you’ll get to rejoice and celebrate with friends new and old along the Via Amici.

The street fair will feature traditional Italian music, entertainment, a raffle, and delicious Chef-prepared Italian food. The menu will consist of sausage, pepper, and onion subs grilled to order, Sicilian arancini, Fruitti du Mare salad, Sfolgliatelle, miniature cannoli, zeppole, and a selection of beverages.

In addition to the relaxing fun of food and entertainment, Amici will also host a Zeppole Eating Contest. Compete against your fellow food enthusiasts and eat your way through zeppoles to win a $200 gift certificate to Amici as well as a 2-night stay at St. Francis Inn. Proceeds from both the contest and the raffle will benefit Compassionate St. Augustine.
