Three ensembles from the St. Augustine Concert Band will perform at the St. Augustine Art Association on Sunday, December 9, from 2 to 5pm at 22 Marine Street. The groups include the Old City Clarinets, Five Flutes, and Sax Trio, playing holiday music in the Main Gallery, where the Fantastic Florida Exhibition provides a colorful backdrop.
The performance adds another layer of holiday cheer to the Annual Holiday Historic Inns Tour this weekend. Attendees will also enjoy Lenny Ruel’s “Tiny Town: St. Augustine Miniature Holiday Village,” a collection of wooden replicas of local historic buildings, including the Lightner Museum, Cathedral Basilica, Government House, Villa Zorayda and others.
The St. Augustine Concert Band is comprised of student, retired, volunteer and semi-professional musicians, whose annual Nights of Lights concert will be held at the Visitor’s Information Center on Friday, December 21.
The St. Augustine Art Association gallery and musical event are open free to the public. Parking on Sunday is free throughout downtown. For information call (904) 824-2310 or go to www.staaa.org.
