St. Augustine is an artistic city. You’ll find galleries scattered through downtown and the beach filled with art from local creatives, and you’ll walk into shops to see local artisan goods on display. The arts are thriving in the city, and it’s time again to celebrate them. For 54 years, the St. Augustine Festival of Art has delighted attendees with the beautiful creativity of the city. Thousands of works by over 130 local and national artists will be available including paintings, sculptures, jewelry, pottery, photography, woodworks, and more! Having been selected for their creativity and high quality of work, these artists present an extraordinary destination for art collectors and holiday shoppers alike.
The St. Augustine Art Association is kicking off this year’s holiday season with the 54th Annual St. Augustine Festival of Art on Saturday, November 30, and Sunday, December 1, at Francis Field.
“The Festival remains a St. Augustine Thanksgiving and Nights of Lights tradition because it offers an opportunity to purchase unique, one-of-a-kind, hand-crafted works of art. You can meet the artists in person and learn about their creative processes through live demonstrations and talks,” said Festival Manager Diane Bradley.
In addition to demos on pottery, glass, drawing and painting, the Colonial Textile Arts Guild will teach you how to weave and spin authentic crafts from a bygone era. Listen to live music on the Gamble Rogers Folk Festival stage, while enjoying an assortment of food and beverages in the Bank of America Hospitality Center. The event also offers a selection of pet amenities for those furry friends that might like to join in the fun. Bath Fitter is putting purchase power in your hands! They’re giving away $100 gift certificates for you to use towards the purchase of art at the Festival. Visit the Bath Fitter booth for your chance to win. Drawings will take place on both Saturday and Sunday at 1pm and 2pm at the stage (must be present to win; not redeemable for cash).
