Join the wild side for three nights of treats, costumes, and fun! Meet eerie bugs and beasts in this hands-on experience while collecting creepy creature cards around the park. The beloved local event, hosted by the Florida Agricultural Museum, is now the Holler-Ween Festival! Guests can enjoy a haunted house (The Slaughterhouse and the Forbidden Forest Trail Ride), a pumpkin patch, trail rides through the woods, bounce houses, story time in a graveyard, lots of treats and refreshments, and live entertainment. This Halloween weekend is your last chance to see Rype & Readi’s Haunted Barn! This is a pretty spooky place, with the kind of history that is bound to attract ghosts! The recommended minimum age to enter the Haunted Barn is 13. Be advised that there will be strobes, flashing lights, and jump scares, but none of the spooks will grab or touch guests. Children 12 and under should plan to come on Sunday, October 28 for a not-so-scary night.

Join the park for a very unique Candlelight Trail Walk back in time and among the ruins. See living history unfold at Bulow Plantation Ruins Historic State Park along the guided tour trail (Guides will have lanterns). The tours will be continuous. You will have a choice of been guided along the Nature Trail or riding the tram to the ruins or better yet, both! All activities are included in the admission. Halloween Costume Contest

Ancient City Tours is back in 2018 to host their annual free Halloween Costume Contest. The costume contest is divided into age groups: Infant-Toddler (ages 0-4), Child (ages 5-12), Teen (ages 13-16), Adult (ages 16 and over), and Family. The contest judging begins with the youngest group at 2pm. Prizes will be awarded for top finishers. After the contest, everyone is invited to make their way to St. George Street for the traditional trick-or-treating. A full list of participating merchants will be provided.

Hosted by Ripple Effect Eco Tours, this Spooky Sunset Paddle will kick off your Halloween night just right. Glide over the waters as you hear stories from Native American lore about the area, and take a look at the landscape’s magical properties as seen by local tribes.
